Console commands

Postby off » Sat Dec 07, 2002 10:34 pm

Hi all! I've been playing the OC48 beach server off and on for a while now. I was interested in learning some of the commands you can type in the console. When I was playing today, there was some problems with a doorblocker. I tried typing in "salute" in the console to push the guy out of the way, but it wasn't working.
Also, I have a graph in the bottom right of my screen which shows the lag coming from my computer and the lag coming from the server. I got this when I typed in a command suggested by the admin the other day on OC48. I would be interested in getting rid of it.
Any other useful commands would be appreciated. Thanks everyone! :) :)

/+salute

(to push blocking people)

/s_stop

(to get all the sounds back)

Just be sure to type these in console not in chat.

I also use /quit
to exit the game. Take less time. :D

You can put colored letters into your name by typing ^# while typing your name, where # is a number between 1 and 9. The colors are:
1 - Red
2 - Green
3 - Yellow
4 - Blue
5 - Light Blue
6 - Pink
7 - White
8 - Black
9 - Red

/reconnect
Tries to reconnect to the last server you were connected to.

/kill
Kills you. Useful for quickly dying so you can respawn as a different class or with a different weapon.

/quit
Quits the game.

/serverinfo
Shows the current server's settings.

/toggle r_fullscreen
Will toggle between windowed and full screen mode. You must restart the game each time it's changed.

HUD Commands

This class of commands affects different displays on the heads up display. Many of these settings can also be changed in the menus.
/toggle cg_drawcompass
Toggles the compass on or off.

/toggle cg_draw2d
Turns the entire Heads Up Display either on or off.

/toggle cg_drawfps
Either shows or hides your frame-per-second in the upper right-hand corner.

/cg_FOV
Changes your field of view. Higher values give you a "fishbowl" effect that some players like, as it gives them better periferal vision.

/toggle cg_drawtimer
Shows the amount of time left on the level. Not too useful, since there's a clock on the screen by default.

/toggle cg_gibs
Toggles whether or not gibs are drawn when someone is hit particularly hard.

/toggle cg_drawteamoverlay
Draws or hides the team overlay information that shows health and location of all your teammates.

To get rid of the network meter, type /cg_lagometer 0.

Also you can see the commands the bot lets you have by typing !help

you can find that here aka corpse dragging:

http://www.planetwolfenstein.com/shrub/manual.html#corpsedrag

"...players can drag other dead players around by crouching
over the body and holding down the +salute key. It is recommended
that +salute be bound to a mouse button, which makes dragging much easier."
