Error Message

Postby max zorin » Tue Jul 15, 2003 6:59 pm

Ok Guys,

Anybody else get this error message, and get kicked from the server? I am running Windows XP Operating System, so I am looking for people with this type of error message running that OS.

Thanks!

I get the same thing, don't know what triggers it or how to prevent it. Just leave and come back, thats all you can do. I think.

Ok,

I wanted to make sure that I am not the only one that gets this crap.

I will send the dump to the debug guys at Microsoft and see what they turn up as the root cause of the violation.

Thanks!

hey guys!!

i dont play rtcw..but i was just bored and hopped over to this forum... out of over an hour of looking for an answer to this..i was only able to come up with 1 bit of information....

WolfMP.exe experiences a "Recursive Error" when you exceed MAX_CVARS which is somewhere around 1000.

this was referencing a known issue with spawning..and the possible some 20,000 possible spawn points within a 20 minute game.... after the game hits around the 1000th calculation for a spawn, supposedly you will get that error message..

dont know if this will help... have not seen any information about game patches that would fix this.... but keep your eyes open.!!

yeah it happens to most everyone from time to time. it mostly happens on high player servers, maybe something to do with graphics? in the code causing a crash of the exe. i dunno

I notice the same error message now and then (running XP Pro) either playing RTCW or ET.

Never got this message. Use AntiSpy to disable the balloon tips, this could solve the problem.
