Lag

Someone at school gave me this game recently and on almost any server I play on i get so mch lag I can barely move for about 10 seconds. This happens about every 2 minutes or so. Anybody have any ideas as to what this could be? I have been having a bunch of trouble with my computer and was wondering if that could be the problem. I dont beleive it is the isp because I know people in this town that play games on the same isp and they say they are fine. Any insight would be appreciated.

-Edit gave it to me meaning the disk and all. He just got married so I am not playing illegaly or anything. His bitch just wont let him play.

what type of connection are you using? If you are using 56k than the only solution is to get broadband. if you already have broadband, then what kind? cable, dsl, or satelite(which is worse than 56k for games)?

I was talking to a bitch on the phone and she said something could be in the line. Now Im no technician but wtf? Whats this bitch mean like spider eggs or some shit? I dont know but Ill get it figured out. Btw its a broadband, so if you have any ideas id appreciate them fellas. Thanks alot.
