Wolf 101 Noobies guide to gameplay.

Postby SavageParrot » Tue May 18, 2004 5:05 pm

Ok basically I am tired of stating the obvious things on the server so I thought maybe I'd put it in a thread to bug the shit out of you guys, but also so you could add to it and help nooby to not get his ass kicked.

Item 1 Gibbing:

To Gib, the continued shooting, stabbing or otherwise mutilating of a dead enemy player (or friendly, though this is not advised) until he/she drops their gun and can no longer be revived.

Gibbing is essential for two reasons: firstly the soldier cannot be revived so he will not jump up and unload a whole clip into your buddies head. Secondly when the body is gibbed it releases treats, be they health packs, grenades or that Thompson you've just gotta have cos the mp40 blows, whatever.

Gibbing is also desirable as it gives you a point, and the lord knows you struggle to get any of those so boost you're total by gibbing someone elses kill, it's all good.

Here endeth the first lesson;)

Item 2 Doorways:

A doorway, a gap in a wall through which it is possible to pass in order to gain acces to another area.

Doorways are essential for one reason only, so that you can move through them and thereby progress to other areas. However in order for a doorway to function it is neccessary to keep it clear from obstruction, and that means you and your panzer carrying noob ass cannot stop there!

Doorways are desirable so that you can get to where the enemy is and kill him. They are also desirable so that you can get away from the enemy who is trying to kill you. In both these cases a blockage in the doorway, much like a blockage in your bowel, can cause discomfort and even pain.

As a result of the evident importance of doorways it is recommended that you, noble wolfplayer, stay clear of all doorways and instead take yourself out onto the sand where you can have all sorts of fun blowing yourself up with grenades.

Have fun! But remember if you think you are in the way, kill yourself just to make sure you aren't; just type /kill in the console and it will all be alright.

the funny thing is that the wolfplayers who do all the noob things mentioned above never make it to the forums and threfore will never learn unless they play the game enough.

I know I just needed to vent, and I thought it may as well be part productive after all people do always come here when they get banned.

Disagree about the MP40. Long range it is a more accurate weapon and therefore more effective. In shortrange fighting the Thompson has more punch.

Yeah but your not a noob, noobs ( and me:D) love that the tommy has 2 more hit points per shot thus making up for their woeful innaccuracy!

MP40>Thompson
MP40 gets mad headshots from long range and shoots quicker, thompson is equal short range IMO.

I also prefer MP40, it's faster and more accurate.

i got an addition to what Parrot is saying here... lately i've noticed people getting killed and then a nade drops by them... they call for a medic, knowing that a nade was near.

I can't stand dying for such a stupid reason... i dont bitch about tk's too much but that one takes the bait. Especially when they get revived and your ass gets blown up. They get away scott free since they have that spawn-shield protection.

for all you noobs... type v 1 5 for fire in the hole...
