Have I been banned form 24/7 beach?

Postby s3xynanigoat » Sun Jun 12, 2005 9:47 pm

I'm only asking because I am no longer able to connect to your server. Now when i connect the loading bar gets almost to the end and then hangs. I'm kicked back to the 'main' wolf menu with a message stating 'server disconnected for unknown reason'. I am going to take a stab at this and guess that my ip range has been banned. Again this is only my assumption.

*The situation* - I played Ice for a round, Thank you MAA for that break form the norm, and then I dropped to spec for a few rounds. I eventually joined back up and played another round. At this point MAA changes the map to Kung Fu Grip, which I do not have, so I am kicked for not having the appropriate *.pk3. Fine not a big deal. I wait about 39 minutes and try reconnecting to the server. At this point Beach is the map again, however I am recieving the 'disconnected for unknown reason' now.

BTW - this post is not coming from my IP address. I am elsewhere. My IP is some class A 70.?.?.? address. Would be happy to get the rest of the info for whoever wants to take a look at this.

Thanks in advance.

You are not on the ban list. Sometimes the wolfmp config gets changed if u are missing a file. I don't know why this is. It doesnt happen to some people. This happened to me and slaughter at one point. And does the same thing that you are describing. To fix the problem, I restored my pc to an ealier date. And it worked fine.

Shipwreck,

You are saying do an ASR? Ok, I'll try that. Thanks for the help.

*update*

I copied the config from my osp folder into the shrubmod folder. Works fine now. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction.

No problem. I was going to suggest that also. That also helps with stats. Have to make sure the wolfmp config is the same as main folder as shrub. Glad its working for you.
