Matrix Games - never heard of 'em. Is this a simulation game or a RTS?

It isn't an RTS.
It's the old type with hexagons and turns.

Looks very interesting...I might have to check this one out. I miss playing some of the great turn-based strategy games. Master of Orion, Civilization, and Empire are by far the best I've played...too bad Orion 3 was terrible.

OMFG MOO2 was friggin awesome! SO was the CIV series. buuut MOO3 SUCKS! IT SUCKS I SAY! THe manual leaves allot so mcuh. ANd can someone tell me why I send in 10 battleships built with over 2 tech levels than the orions but yet my sensors can't pick them up, weapons can't dent their armor and they sowhow have greater range?! And instantly kill all 10 in under 5 seconds after the battle starts over their homeworld?! That's what I thought, MOO3 stunk.

I paid $9.99 with 20% off from the bargin bin at a store and I think that was a rip off. (MOO3 new)

I paid $20 for MOO2 and I think it was worth every penny. (used)
