Jarhead

Postby PraiseA||ah » Sun Nov 06, 2005 12:49 am

This is a great movie. I think it is an accurate portrayal of war for the vast majority of soldiers who have been there. I defiinitely recommend this one... for what that's worth. :)

When I saw the trailer, I thought of it as a modern Platoon. Im probably gonna see it.

I'm seeing it tonight.

The closest theater is always packed on Friday and Saturday, but the 8 and 10 PM shows on Sunday are almost completely empty.

I saw weather man last week. There were two people in the theater, including me.

Doom? I might see it on DVD .. maybe. I'm sure it will suck the big one but I'm curious to see how faithful they were to the game. Not curious enough to actually go to a theater and spend money on it though.

Yeah, it was not what I expected either. :)

Um, it's been called one of the worst movies ever made.

Jarhead was amasing, Mendes did a very good job keepign the essence of the book intact.

Do NOT expect a typical 'war' movie.

What a shame about Doom. I like the Rock and I had hoped it would at least be a decent action blow em up movie. As far as Jarhead goes I like movies that are not what I expect. Maybe I'll go catch it this week.

Doom was not even cool, just dumb and kind of gross.

Ya, the Rock is kind of underrated as an actor, I think he is pretty good. To bad most of the movies he stars in suck.
