tourist kills mugger in Costa Rica

A 70 year old tourist (retired military) killed an armed mugger with his bare hands. Broke the guy's clavicle and choked him out. Man, badass is badass, at any age!

Good job by the American tourist. Takes a certain kind of person to have the bravery to do that.
On a side note... If you feel the need to travel to a 3rd world country, even though it may be beautiful, you have to stay in the "americanized" areas. Leave these areas and you run the risk of serious harm and death.

The best part is that they continued on with their vacation.
Back home that old man has to deal with punk kids riding their bikes on his lawn and crap like that. I'm sure he just needed a nice little get away and the mugger picked the wrong old man to jerk around.
If this had happened in the states, he surely would have been charged, then sued by the punk's family.
