ATI beats Nvidia in marketshare
ATI just took second place in market share, bumping Nvidia to third, leaving Intel in the #1 spot with their integrated graphics.

I remember when Nvidia completely dominated ATI in the desktop market...now ATI is leading Nvidia. Good to see that people are finally starting to catch on

Are they? Nvidia was the clear performance leader until pre-9600 (or 9700, i forget). I wonder how much of the market that counts for.

Thats based on two stock extanges, Toronto and Nasdaq. Nvidia still leads ATI in Nasdaq by a good margin though.

Oh and NV40 will be the one card that rules them all!

Damn since when did everyone become such grade-A ATI fanboys? Everyone bought Nvidia back in the GeForce 3-4 days. Though I do have to admit, that if the 9800XT wasn't so damn expensive I would've gotten it instead of my current FX5950 (which was some $200 less).

Nvidia still leads because they have more than one market. They have very popular motherboards on top of MANY other things. so does ATI, but Nvidia just has more marketshare when it comes to other products. ATI is making huge gains into Nvidia's territory though

He means Marketshare, not their Share price on the stock market.
In other works,
Intel sells the most graphics cards
ATI sells the second most
Nvidia sells the third most

Why are people fanboys because they buy a certain brand? The 9800 is better than the nvidia offerings. So I got that. Guess I should buy the crappier one to avoid fanboyism.

Thats not what I ment. What I'm refering to are the people who blindly shout (ATI rocks Nvidia sucks!). No one company sucks, some of its products may suck but thats besides the point. The point is the FX Series does not suck, its just slower than ATI in DX9, thus ATI offers the better product this time.
