What the hell is Iran thinking?

Here's a link if you are interested.

Lets go Britain. Kick their ass.

Mon Jun 21, 2004 8:31 am

Reminiscent of the Cold War.

Someone is BEGGING to get nuked. ;)

Mon Jun 21, 2004 9:18 am

Yeah well I'm hoping it gets resolved quickly and cleanly as I have a brother in Iraq who's posted on the Iranian border which I'd obviously rather not turn into a front line.

Mon Jun 21, 2004 9:23 am

Blah blah blah. This isint such a big deal.

Iran was just protecting what was theirs. What was Britian doing in their waters without Iran's permission? Think of it as if Iran was in Britian's waters, and were siezed. Wouldn't be that big of a deal, would it.

Thanks, media, for blowing this out of the water.

They were probably part of the river patrol units, patrolling the river that separates Iran from Iraq.

Mon Jun 21, 2004 9:27 am

Regardless of what happened, im sure those guys will be released, and all will be well again. Its just that the media has blown this shit out of control. Its time like these when I wish the govt. controlled our media, so we didn't have to hear this crap.

:rotflmao:

True.

Mon Jun 21, 2004 10:39 am

Iranian naval sources quoted by Iran's official Arab-language al-Alam satellite TV news station said weapons and maps were found on board the vessels.

NO! Military guys in a place like Iraq is today on a training mission with
weapons and maps

Gotta agree with Ryan. This is nothing more than Iran flexing whatever muscles they have and protecting their "international borders".

Don't forget, their definition of a "weapon" could include soup spoons or something as equally innocuous.
