Has anyone played the online game "There"?

I have and it is pretty cool. I was addicted to it about a year ago and was realizing I was up for many hours when I should have been sleeping so I slowed down playing it for a while.
I was actually one of the original beta testers.

It is basically a huge chat room but in a 3-D world and the graphics are great. The world is huge and encampasses a string of islands to explore. You can really customize your avatar looks, buy clothes, vehicles, etc.
You can take part in games, races with hoverbikes, buggys, rent beach houses and decorate them, throw parties.

It is a neat concept and if you have some free time to kill, check it out.
Tell me what you guys think.

I played for a super long time.. was a beta tester for many many months.. but it got boring, and their developers are truly idiots. They do anything they can to make money, and thats ALL they are doing it for. They honestly could care less about the community.

So, I didn't purchase the beta price, I just quit. Was a good concept, and they did a good job developing, but other than that, I hate it now.

I actually joined up after the beta testing was over. They were offering a lifetime membership to beta testers for something like 30 bucks.
I hardly ever am on now, maybe once a month for like 10 minutes. It just takes a lot of time that i dont have. I barely have time to play BF42 or BFV as it is.
I think i bought like $50 bucks worth of "there" dollars which in the game is a lot more like 25,000. or something like that.
I have so much of it left over.

It looks like in that game all you do is walk around and talk to people.

EVERYTHING in that game costs Therebucks. Thats what gets me.

I can't develop, so I really can't make any money in that game. My only hope for money is an insane amount of events (which cost money)... The economy in there is biased towards people who can build things, and I certinely cannot.

Oh man, I thought this was a thread to ridicule people who mess up "they're" and "there".

Of course, you could go out on your own and explore, but it gets boring. Everything in that game gets boring...

Agreed.
It's just a glorified chat room. That's why I got bored of it after a while.
I think it's still worth the free trial just to check it out.

I think if you were like in 9th grade and weren't allowed out too late you would have fun with this game.
Although I did meet a girl (pretty sure she was a girl, she sent me her real email addy, etc. LOL) and we would have mock make out sessions (you could kiss in the game) and mock oral sex by positioning the avatars.. LOL
