WTF? Doom 95 in Doom3?

I take it this was a bogus "cheat?"

I would love to have the old version again. I tried give doom95, give_doom95, run doom95, run_doom95 ect. ect. ect.

If you have found out you can load it (or cant) let me know!

there's a command for it (i dont remember what it is) but it doesn't work. Maybe it'll be unlocked in a patch or something

well the command thats all over the net is "give doom95"

Makes sence that it hasn't been unlocked because I've yet to find somebody to get it to work.

I do wonder if there is even a code to be unlocked though, since how to people know there is a command for it if it hasn't been unlocked yet?

I don't know. Maybe the original doom isn't actually on the disks.

if it was, it wouldn't make sense for id to not allow us to access it.

Beat the game on Nightmare.

If there is a hidden game that would be my best guess as how to unlock it. It would make sense to include the original as Doom 3 is basically a remake of the classic game.

Have you tried "give doom95" ? Remember there's no underscore. Try it and see if it works.

Well I beat doom3, so yah I'm done with it. The original doom was a great game, and really was the launching point for FPS (yes I know wolf was first, but doom really launched FPS's into popularity).

Good memories playing that game, and I just thought it would be fun to play it again.

First online game I ever played (of course, this was just me and a buddy connecting via modem, back in high school, but...yeah. Awesome game, and great graphics for its time....

I've had Doom III for well over a week now and I'm currently in the "Caverns" area. Which I believe is the final area given how tough it is.
