Can somebody point me to some good pre-1980 St helens photos. I guess some 1300 feet of the mountain blew off with the last big eruption, and I just wanted to compare the differences in physical appearance.

edit: nevermind I just googled it.

wow.....so if it erupts again...will it still be mount saint helens? or more like very big hill st. helens?

Valley St. Hellens

i'm looking forward to it, obviously i was only 1 year old at the time of the big one, so i'd like to see the carnage all over again, 24 years on.

Natural events like this are kinda cool cuz the media can prepare. I'd expect a mapping satelite or two may be over that region as we speak and i'd love to see the results.
