I went from a 200 watt, to a 350 watt power supply, everything works great, its real quiet, any benefits in having more power in the supply????

PS....why the change well my 200 watt fan died so I got a 350 antec, will i see any changes???

It's better to have more power than not enough. Without having enough power, your PC will be starved and things won't work right.

thats what I figured with my ati 9800 in there and numerous other goodies thought it wouldn't be a bad thing

Here's the skinny;

If you have a 300 Watt power supply, and at full load your PC draws 200 Watts you'll be stressing your power supply which will increase the amount of heat it generates and may cause fluctuations in voltage/amperage.

The more powerful your power supply, the less likely it will approach its maximum limit, and therefore remain cool and able to provide a steady, uninterrupted supply of voltage/amperage to your PC/components.

It's a little more complicated than "bad stuff will happen".

Dell gives you only a 200 watt fir all their PCs. They figure full load will never happen so they give crap PSUs
