backup the wolf file that has your config settings on a floppy disc or CD, because once you format your disc everything is gone.

I just have more than one partition. I have a swap parition, games partition and a system/windows partition. That way I loose nothing when windows goes whack.

Take my advice on this:
Make a backup image of your new partition using Ghost or any one of the imaging programs out there, before anything bad happens (virus, spyware, etc) and then you can restore to the image whenever you feel the need. Take maybe 15 minutes to restore an image, take me about 15 minutes to copy my important files/document over to another partition before I restore, 15 minutes to copy them back after restoring. So, 45 minutes and I am up and running again.
