I know VW is falling into the Same trouble that Mitsubishi has been in for years... But who exactly is this suppose to appeal to? Why does't the auto industry just put the imagination into the product instead of the Comerical?

I just realized that this commercial is geared at the 30-60 year old homosexual breakdancer audiance, Now they will all have VW's and Delphi XM. Must be the new power market.

VW are apologetic for the fake suicide bomber ad but they release this one in earnest. I'd have been more happy if it were the other way around...

you know whats fucked up, I work with gene kellys son, and he didnt get SHIT from his fortune, the wife took everything.

im only 20 his son alot older than I am, hes a really cool guy but I dont ask him about his father much, but I've been in studios and stuff with him in NYC and he shows me pictures and stuff of his father hanging on the walls in chelsea piers in manhattan at NBC's studios for law and order and stuff.

VW is hurting in north america...
That being said, I think the commercial is pretty good.
1) Its tasteful
2) It is in no way demeaning to or making fun of Gene Kelly
3) Pretty cool way to intriduce the new golf, which was designed to be like the older car, but new...
IMO, one of the better car commercials I have seen.
