Supervolcano

Sun Apr 10, 2005 1:06 pm

Well aparently the discovery channel just got cool again. Tonight at 8pm EST the discovery channel is showing a sort of "docurama" about what could happen if a proposed supervolcano located beneath Yellowstone Park were to erupt. Between this and last nights showings of "Blue Planet" I'm glad the discovery channel is showing something other than American Chopper marathons.

Yea, I will be watching this. i just love natural disaster movies for some reason.

Yeah, I agree.

While the chopper shows are cool, they are not what I watch the Discovery Channel for. I remember when I was a kid I used to get Discover magazine and it always had awesome articles about science. It is a shame that they have seemingly turned away from that and have started programming for the Lowest Common Denominator. :(

I watched the Deep Blue Sea last night/this morning...VERY COOL! :D

The one on Super Volcanoes is a re-run, but still VERY interesting! I may watch again. :)

PS. The same goes for The Learning Channel and all the damn home design/landscape type shows. :(

I agree, this show looks great.

I thought the investigation of Super Tsunami was rather interesting about the the Volcanic island slumping off in the atlantic. And that aired years before the rescent events.
