I would really, really like to see they guys make it. It seems like such a nightmarish way to go. I'm kinda glad that our countries might be able to halp, especially in light of the fact the Russia was offering NASA their help just this week.
As bad as things seem, if we can go from Cold War enemies to working together peacefully, there's hope in this world yet.

Unfortunately, as they did with the Kursk, the Russians waited to ask for help. It wasn't days this time, but they still delayed asking for 24 hours after the accident.

It's a race against time...

It seems like america is trying to help...

"We won't try to drag it anymore; we will try to lift the whole system, rip it off and bring it to the surface," Fyodorov said. He said rescuers would try to raise the vessel by lifting with enough force to pull two heavy concrete anchors from the sea floor.

This sounds difficuilt...good luck to them and may god be with them...

They said it was near Japan,,,they should borow some high tech robots from them :P...they do make things like that there right?

It says they saved them sunday??? Tomorow's sunday??? is this because of timezones??? I guess so...anyways congratulations Britain :D

Awesome. Britain,Japan, and the US all took part in rescue, all the sailors survived according to the last newsreport. I hate to see some the new agencies trying to make a big deal about Russia's aging navy etc. Accidents happen, the real news story is the international cooperation and goodwill.

That deffinetly is awsome! Everyday you hear about all these politics between countries, fighting about stuff and this and that...It's good to see something on the bright side of things for a change :)

Like I say, there's hope for this world yet.

I think that international cooperation might someday be what saves this world...

Possible Alien invasions...(signs)

Massive asteroids...(Armageddon)

The sun dieing/burning out...

The sun becoming too strong...(saw a sc-fi film about how the sun turned into a blue dwarf and became stronger and us humans evolved)

Massive weather disasters...

Also things we can and must control...

Atomic Bombs (some that someday could become massive enough to wipe out a continent, or more)

I found I-Robot to be interesting...

Global pollution & the o-zone layer...

Like I said who knows...there are endless possibilities...

But I am getting into a whole different subject matter that has nothing to do with this...the mind and brain is an incredible thing. :)

I also read this somewhere...

If you truly believe you can do something, the mind will do everything possible to try to make it happen even if it isn't really what you want...Like in baseball if your hitting and you come up to the plate thinking "oh man im gonna strike out agian", more than likely you will, because the mind does its very best to make what you think happen.

I am glad that they are safe and that several countries came together to help in a crisis! :)
