i bought the Logitech MX-550 gaming mouse $50.00 (i think thats the model number),didnt even last a month,left click tap button just fell apart one day,so save you receipt,hope you have better luck than i did

I think your referring to the MX-518. I own one and it has been a champ to some major abuse. That mouse gets carted to all the LAN events I attend and has been the unforunately victim of more then its fair share of drops, kicks and occational step ons.

So, I'm not worried about any problems with the new one!

That review sums it up.. Its a dream, from the laser engine to the weight system.

I do miss the 2nd thumb button and am quite anti-software due it having to run in the background wasting more resources, but I might just install it and see if I really need the tilt wheel buttons.

Definate buy thou, even if you already have a 518.
