Off topic, but don't go too far overboard - after all, we are watching...heh.

I think my 9800 Pro is finally biting the dust. I am thinking about either getting a X800 Pro or a X850 Pro ( within my financial means versus other cards )
The X800 pro has a clock of 475/900 while the X850 Pro has a clock of 520/1120.
Here is what puzzles me, obviously the X850 Pro would be more expensive, check out the below links:
X800 Pro
X850 Pro
Notice the second one, its RETAIL and its only a few bucks more! Am I on crack or is that just a great deal?

Go for the x850. It also has all 16 pipes enabled "don't it?" Forget what the fillrate is, but i know its higher than the x800.

I called them and they have them in stock, I just though it was very odd that it was so cheap.
The X850 Pro only has 12 pipelines. The only cards that have 16 are the X800 XL, the X850 XT, and the X850 Xt Platinum Edition

you can get a 6800GT 256MB for $270

It is very possible the extra clock speed doesn't make any differnce and just overheats it quicker.

Sadly, you might have missed out. Best Buy was clearing out the X800 XL AGP's a while ago for around $180. Great buy for that price, I picked one up.

I picked it up. $262 after tax, not bad at all.

The Sapphire card is going to be higher than a normal X800 pro. I'll be honest, I didn't look at the particular specs on that card, but I have looked at buying Sapphire Cards in the past. Usually they have additional software or tweak the cards a bit, or they have better cooling, something that makes them more expensive than a standard X800 card.
I opted for the X800 XT. I dont' think you can go wrong with the 6800 GT or the X850.
My 2 cents.
