Off topic, but don't go too far overboard - after all, we are watching...heh.

Does anyone here play Eve Online? I was given a 14 day trial by Murgatroyd and have been online with some folks from Glory of War for a few days now. The initial learning curve is steep but it has a great live tutorial. The graphics on my widescreen at 1900x1200 with 2x AA is nothing short of awesome.
Anyways I wasn't sure how I felt about the game but I've found myself glued to it till about 3am for a few days now and it's quite a bit of fun.

Holy shit. Don't play Eve. It's combat system is non existant. YOu click a button and that is it......
After 1 month and 2 weeks I was burnt out on Eve. It literally takes a fucking month to "lvl up". There are no levels but ifyou want to fly lets say, an assult frigate (A little better than a destroyer) YOu have to train several skills that will take roughly 5 months to do.
Yeah that lvl 1 skill you trained took 1 hour, but look at it this way.
Rank 1 skill is
1 hour, then 2 hours, then 5 hours, then 1 day and 12 hours, then 1 month for lvl 5.
A Rank 2 skill will be
2 hours, 5 hours, 1 day, 1-2 weeks, and then 2 months or more.
To just fly a better frigate (NOOB ships) it takes maxing out a Rank 2 skill, and several rank 1 skills. Means it takes about 3 months to just get out of a fucking frigate.
