Yeah, but beware, freedom of speech is double edged sword. You can say say or do what you want, but that doesn't mean people are forced to *like* it, or him. I would think twice (if I owned the house) before making myself universally hated in my neighborhood. Like I say, it's fair that the guy can do this, but it's also fair that his neighbors look the other way if they see his car getting vandalized, house getting robbed etc. There's a million ways they can bust his balls. If his statement is that valuable to him, no problem. If it's just something he did for a few laughs, he may regret trading his neighbor's goodwill for a few funny pics.

Good point. The old risk/reward factor. Is telling the joke or playing the prank worth it. I wouldn't have done that because next thing you know they roll his yard with TP.
