I was wandering if anyone knew anymore about this chip. http://www.newegg.com has it. The pictures show that its an duel core but it isn't advertised that way. I'm guessing its AMD's new chip. Haven't really heard that much about it. Time to check out Tomshardware.

$180.00 cheaper than newegg

From the reviews I've read it's the fastest AMD chip to date AND dual core... BUT I also read today that AMD has the X2 5000+ right around the corner, along with the FX-62. Unless you need the fastest chip right now, I would hold off on the FX-60.

my 2 cents

Oh I was never intending to buy it. Not for $1300. Thats way out of my spending buget. I could build a decent high end computer for that much. I will probably build one in the next year or so. I really don't want to upgrade my PC b/c mine was the last of the AGP and of the socket 478. New stuff came along maybe a month after I got my computer. So I was like F**k. I first saw it on some computer web site(can't remember exactly). I never heard of it before and I was serfing through newegg for my next computer for some parts that I may want to buy and just checking out to see if they have any new items. Well they did. I was just wandering if anyone had heard of it or not. I kinda wander into new stuff and just wanted to know if anyone else has heard of it or even owns it(which I highly doubt, unless you have a erge to buy the lasted and greatest of things plus have the money to do so).

AMD socket M2 this summer, along the the r600/ g80, THE REAL NEXT GEN CARDS!

939 is dead. The fx 60 will be the last chip in production for it. The fx62, and x2 5XxXx series, all 12 chips i believe, summer also.

Vista/ Dx10, summer/ fall, no dates.

A budget 939 3500+ and a evga 78gtco, would not hurt ANYONE.

*wait for it, just a couple months*
