I saw the trailer the other day, man I can't wait. It's going to be a longer than normal season since it's final. The only thing that sucks is they kicked Deadwood way back because they are trying to launch that show 'Big Love' or something like that, about a polygamist.

They kicked back Deadwood!? WTF MAN! That is their BEST damn show. Bar none. I mean, Sopranos is good too but at this point I prefer to Deadwood. That's it. Time to go postal at HBO.

Looks like June is when Season 3 will start.
Yeah, it's my favorite show too. I was watching the re-runs the other night, Al giving his monologue to the boxed Indian head...priceless.

Sopranos (like Deadwood) you need to pretty much start off with Season 1, episode 1, and watch about 3-4 episodes back to back. They're not little one hour movies like most shows, they are long arcing plots dealing with a particular scam or battle with a rival, played out like a chess match.

Yeah, sort of. They announced that they were filming an extra 8 episodes in addition to their normal season of 12 episodes. I assumed we would get them as one final 20 episode season, but they are actually going with 12 episodes starting this March, and then the 8 episodes come in January '07 as a mini Season.

I don't think it has anything to do with the Soprano people..
Its HBO that screws with the release of each season.
They use the Sopranos to get audiences for their new shows.

That is more than likely the case, but it still ruined my love for the show.
