Music Videos on MTV2

I set my tivo to record videos, I probably haven't seen more than 5 music videos in the last 3 years (since the kids).
I had to record MTV2 from like 2-4am to get videos. Do any of these f'in MUSIC stations play music anymore?
Is anyone here old as me to remember when almost all programming on MTV was all music videos? Then real world, remote control, lets see.... can't remember other ones at the moment but those were some of the shows that started it all. MTV spring break is nice though.....

I remember Friday Night Video Fights.. They would battle a new video against the reigning champion and people would vote on it. Def Leppard's "Photograph" was champion for the longest time, i remember..

I am sorry. I didn't know watching Remote Control would come to this. If I knew I would have never watched.

In canada we have muchmusic, they still play some videos, but all popular music is shit, imo.

I always thought it would be cool if they took all the archived MTV footage (I'm just assuming they archived everything) and just run it sequentially, day by day, commercials and all on it's own channel. Start with it's year zero (1980?) and just go forward. It would be cool to see everything happen again in real time, the little news stories, the trends, etc. Even the retro commercials would be fun.
