I have tried to resist posting about this subject, but I can no longer.

I am disappointed with everyone who has found this funny. And, I am discouraged to see that the American viewing audience wishes to see jokes about this on Late Night TV.

This is a sad commentary on what we, the human race, have evolved into.

Here is the reason why I have such strong sentiments in regards to this...

A person who I was extremely close to, accidently shot and killed another person in a hunting accident many years ago when they were very young. That accident changed the course of those two peoples lives, forever. The one person was obviously dead and the person whom I was close to was never the same again.

Shame on all of you!

I hadn't realised it was a serious as it is. Way they made it sound he'd just clipped him nothing major just a a bit of buckshot to remove and a few bandaids. But I just heard on the news that they think he's got lead pellets in his heart and that sounds a little less like a clipping and more like a fully fledged shooting...

To be fair I think a lot of people like me thought this was a minor incident not a life threatening one.

That's certainly the way it was presented in the news. Maybe they went too far in downplaying the whole thing.

I honestly don't think anyone will find this funny if it gets more serious.

No, they made it sound like he got minor injuries, they used the terminology 'peppered' and such. No one would be making jokes (well almost no one) if they knew he was having heart problems from it. Seriously, they made it sound like it was the equivalent of a bb shot to the ass.
