Honestly, for the $8 that these cost, you should consider buying these so you can run them over with a large vehicle. Or, you could invest this money in a more high fidelity audio system, such as a tin can and a string
What is funny is while the heatsink was running, it's 60mm fan reminded me of a familiar sound that I just could not put my finger on. Then it hit me! It was the same sound as when I got off that plane and a Boeing 747's jet engine was running 40 feet from my head. Yes! It was the same sonic signature and loudness. I'd say about 140 db's. Pretty quiet if you ask me. I compiled this chart to compare the fan to some other familiar sounds.
The review ended tragically when my cat decided to put her paw in the fan. The fan promptly broke into 23 pieces while the cat was not harmed.
I further examined the heatsink and found that the aluminum fins had the sturdiness equivalent to that of a wet noodle.
This ground-breaking HSF will run you about 2 Happy-Meals ($4).
