if you have any dead pixels, you DO NOT want to know where they are. If you can't see them already, finding them will just make you notice them forever. Which is bad & annoying.
If you're happy with your lcd, then it's working just fine.

I don't think any LCD manufacturers recognize 1 or 2 dead pixels, anyway, so you'd be doing just what TChicken said...attracting attention to something you can't fix.
That would be like wearing a sign on your chest that said; "Check out my cool glass eye!"

Yeah all i saw were a bunch of colors, it seems like it would be a lot harder to find a dead pixel than that. I mean if there are 4 million to a 17" how the hell are you supposed to see somthing that small. Also as said before, if you find one it would just make you more upset every time you saw the dead pixel!
