AMD exploring new MOBO wrinkle...

AMD apparently exploring the idea with others of licensing some of its processor technology to allow 3rd parties to make use of a 2nd processor bay on Mobo's makers that come on board. You could use this 2nd hole to add another dual core processor to make a quad core machine, or 3rd parties could build a Physics chip or a GPU chip to drop in, to run directly off the mobo and thus able to take advantage of you system memory. Can you imagine dropping in a GPU to make use of your 2GB or 4GB DDR or DDR2/3 memory on board the mobo. This is no sure thing, but here is a link to the story:
