Off topic, but don't go too far overboard - after all, we are watching...heh.

I have 744 threads to view. Give me a few years to get through it all.
So how is everyone doing? Any new developements? I've been playing some BF1942 lately, as I haven't upgraded my computer since 2002. Still runs everything else fine though, just not BF2. If I only had money...

New developments are many. Bladerunner is our new BF2 senior admin. The biggest in BF2 is the servers are crashing like crazy. They (EA,DICE) are actually running a beta for the next patch. They seem to be learning. At a very slow rate, but learning none the less.
Throw a thread up in the 42 section next time you play. A few of us will join ya.

Haha, yea, I see the phorum whores are still at it. No shock there

.
Finding good BF servers is really difficult. My friend (Buddahead) and I tried to play over on some pretty populated server, but I was almost kicked because I manned the AA at the end of the axis airfield on Guadal, because we "didn't own all of the flags." I guess me trying to keep their air down was against the rules.
Buddah was almost kicked because he didn't let some guy who was "waiting" on a plane get it first. He took the plane when it respawned, and was nearly kicked because the camper complained. Are you joking?!
Meh.

When in doubt, always kick Buddahead.
Other news: BFPirates2 is coming soon, it's gonna kick ass.

so is there any more insider news you can give us about that Chacal?

Nope. I'm actually glad not to be testing it right now because I'm swamped in work.
But I have put the official servers up and they're ready. We're running BFPirates 1 right now just for fun.

Oh man, Pirates 1 was amazing! The map containing the two massive ships was so epic. It doesn't get much better than jumping from the crows nest into the enemy ship and tearin' everything up. Ahaha.

They've put a final version out a few months ago, possibly for the sheer pleasure of finally having one mod version 1.0 instead of version 0.x.
There's still a few servers out there, amazingly there's a fierce BFP competition activity between clans.
As for BFP2, the dev team is much more organized. There are some real artists in there. BFP1 was basically Lawrence Brown, then he was hired by EA as mod community coordinator, then he was fired. He's now working for a game company.
