it's not WWIII, not even close. It will get interesting if Iran gets into it though.

Not yet, but time will tell. I hope it's not WW III, but it is still a possibility. This is the worst fighting in what... 25 years?

Ehh, if Iran or Syria get's involved personally (instead of just weapons/ammunition/supplies) it might be a step up to the next world war.

We will all watch and wait to see what happens.

Maybe the Aztecs will be correct in hypothesizing that the end of the world will be in 2013...World war III Nucs kill the human race...

I hope not but still  lol

maybe the middle east sux

Well if Iran gets involved it could be like WW1, a line of dominoes, as one gets dragged down, the next one follows. If Iran gets involved, the US will get involved, in turn the Russians will, after that any number of countries could get involved, the UK, the rest of the EU (with the exception of France :P), China, N.Korea = WW3.

Off topic,

I thought that was the Mayans?? I don't know some Central/South American Civilization.

Ya your probably right about that Alofwar. One goes then they all go. Scary stuff. Lets hope that doesn't happen.

US and Russia won't step directly in. Neither will England, Germany, France, India, or China.
We all might sell both sides a helluva lot of arms though. The biggest effect (and it would be HUGE) would be the effect on the price of oil.
Things have changed a lot since WWI, we no longer have literal agreement that if one country is attacked, then we are personally jumping in there and fighting alongside them.

It won't be anything. Israel will bomb the crap out of whatever it wants until satisfied (or Hezbollah gets destroyed) and that will be that until the next major crises 2-4 years from now.

Sun Jul 16, 2006 7:30 pm

If Israel was losing the US would step in for sure. You are in thir pocket good.

Not likely that they would lose though :)

As for a date for the end of the world that shit cracks me up. The story stays the same but the date keeps changing to keep it in the future. Every time the date passes and nothing happens so they move the date along another few years and carry on with the same story :)

I am pritty sure, peeps have been saying that the Myen/Aztec calender ENDS in 2013 for years now. Peeps been saying alot of posibilitys could happen.

WWIII
A large ass asteroid
Natural disasters
A pandemic

Theres alot of ugly things out there.....

If Israel is losing, they have nukes. Given that they'd be fighting for their lives, they'd use them. The only involvment we'd have is to cry 'Don't nuke the oil fields, don't nuke the oil fields'
Truthfully, we'd just ship them more and more equipment if they need it, it would never be a manpower issue. Same for Russia and China with Iran. Iran has all the people it needs, Russia and China would just ship them arms.
Nobody has a stake in the fight unless the oil flow threatens to get cut off completely. Then you'll suddenly see the US, Russia, China, India turn into pacifists and start singing to the Middle East "all we are saying, is give peace a chance"

I believe the Mayans predicted this date:

12PM - December 25th, 2012

Sun Jul 16, 2006 8:45 pm

The problem is the 'domino effect' it will have
