I'm dissapointed in Newegg, they're overpriced pretty badly on the E6600.
ZipZoomFly has them for $359 (when they're in stock)

edit: scratch that, zipzoomfly now has the price at $399

I'd let the prices settle on this CPU, when more become available the gouging might stop.

$375 for E6600. The price has gone up in the last few days.
The cpu is in short supply at the moment, so the price is being inflated. Wait a little while.
All the dealers who order in quantity are paying the same price: $316 per cpu. It will come back to $350 or less when some bigger shipments go out.

Intel® Core™ 2 Duo E6600 for $319.00 w/free shipping.

Either Fry's mispriced this, I'm misreading it, or this is some kind of bait and switch only-5-of-this-item-for-sale scam. Either way, it seems too good to be true.

Edit: Maybe it is an OEM version that comes without a heatsink and a shorter warranty?

WTF?? That's only $3 above their cost--Intel switched to a same price system for anyone ordering in qty's of 1000.
