Off topic, but don't go too far overboard - after all, we are watching...heh.

Watch the video, WOW. Suprised he didn't get his ass kicked afterwards.
Warning, the video does contain language(funny how the bleep everything but the n-word).

Politics aside just having to resort to an out and out insult shows his lack of real stand up ability.
There's a right and a wrong way to deal with a heckler. Do it right and you have the audience in stitches laughing at the guy. This is the wrong way to do it. You just look like you are less smart than the heckler...

He did look and sound stupid. But I wonder if the people yelling that he was wrong and stupid would do the same thing at a Dave Chappelle show when he uses that word.

Doubt it.

Nah or as a more fair comparison if Dave Chappelle started shouting at a white audience member that he was a member of the KKK. People would be rolling in the aisles laughing.
It's not the language that shocks me but how little control he has over his audience. If they won't stop talking that's his problem not theirs, that's the nature of the game.

There was a comedian (I forget his name, I'll search for the clip) just went *off* on an audience because they were just heckling one comedian after another. Same situation but actually pretty funny, he would have half the crowd laughing at any one time, half booing, constantly switching sides.
Almost the same situation, yet somehow different.
I hope I can find the clip, it's like a setpiece with this one.

good point parrott, usually when heckled a comedian will do a quick one liner at the heckler then move on
michael Richards just f'in lost it. He should have moved on after the 1st N bomb and maybe he wouldn't have lost it so much.

The best part of that Burr video is when he says "...you got f***ing Joe Frazier who is from here, but he's black so you can't handle it, so you make a statue of some 3' tall monkey-looking Italian guy".
Great stuff. Joe Frasier was Philly's true hero...yet they're too effin stupid there to treat the guy with even an ounce of respect.

Man he must be stressed out nowadays. Poor guy, i really found the Kramer character he played funny too.

he apologized tonight on Letterman....too late, the damage is done I think, no matter what he says now.
Mon Nov 20, 2006 10:49 pm
...yeah, as far as the Michael Richards incident, that was downright unacceptable.

LOL that was nuts, and i totally agree that he could have handled that way better instead of out and out calling a person by racial comment!

The funniest thing in that whole affair: activists and black leaders organizing a protest. LOL, forget about the other issues faced by black people (education, violence), let's spend our time dealing with a washed up sitcom star spewing racist statements at a comedy club.
Almost as bad as seeing our govt create a congressional panel to deal with steroid use in baseball--at a time when the country is at war!!
Way to set priorities!!
