I use netscape, i made the difficult switch from IE about 2 or 3 years ago. Yeah i am sure firefox is similar, and not using IE i get so much less spyware and crap on my PC.

I'm still using IE 6 and I love it. I have Firefox, I used it for about a week but never really liked it. So I went back to IE 6. maybe I should give Firefox another chance.

I was using Firefox 2.0 but it stopped functioning correctly. I can't save images or files from websites. When I right-click and choose "save image" the dialog comes up, allows me to rename the file, choose a path and all that good stuff, but then the image isn't in the place I told it to save (or anywhere for that matter). With how often I need to nab pics from sites this is very unfortunate, because I really like Firefox. I might have to nuke the system to get rid of it completely - I tried to uninstall it and reinstall it but it held on to some info so it wasn't a clean removal.

As for plug-ins for Firefox... I had a cool thumbnail viewer, download manager, configurable auto-refresh (great for bid sniping on eBay) and image zoom. I nabbed a couple search engines - including a few for a Star Wars club I'm in that allow me to look up people on the roster without going through the site's interface. I can plug in their name or user ID and get their info page without having to go to the site, then choose "roster" and "search", which is very handy. I also have some sort of 3D-apps user thing... it allows me to search through databases for models, textures and tutorials.

MS forced me into IE7 (it came up as a critical update!) and since I can't save images from sites I fire up in FF I switch back to IE7 when I need it.

I'm using v1.5.0.8, it works fine. I will wait a bit for v2.x.
