Am i wrong in mocking EA and their marketing department for this?
Yea the 'stache' isn't in college anymore.. Shouldnt they pick and active college player for the cover spot? Or is it against some kind of NCAA rules to have an 'amature' likeness on something being sold?

The company is brassly commercial. Actually, they are no worse then other companies, we just notice now because we are gamers.

there are tons of rules "protecting" students of college teams.. which is why a former college player is on the cover instead of current.
Its only when they make it to the pros that we find out how much the student made per year just by being on the team.
College sports are a joke. Players are paid for being good, given perks that normal students who are actually going to the school for an education miss out on. Lower class sports that don't drive the revenue such as football and mens and women's basketball do, are constantly given less funding and less than support from the NCAA and school board.
So in essence, both EA and NCAA are f-ed.
