- The Napoleonic Wars
- Lost. Temporary victories (remember the First Rule!) due to leadership of a Corsican, who ended up being no match for a British footwear designer.

LoL

LMAO, its so true.

Except that bit about the French conquering England in 1066. It wasn't the French, its was the Normans. Im not sure if Normandy was part of France before 1066, but once William sailed for England, Normandy was effectively independent of France, and for the next 800 years France was our enemy.

They succeded for 2 reasons: They called themselves Normans, not French :P
And much of the Norman army was made up of foreign mercinaries.

Willian the Conqueror wasn't French. He was 6th generation Viking. It was his great, great, (maybe one more great I forget) grandfather Rollo who was given Normandy by the french king charles the simple so they's stop kicking frances arse. He might have been speaking french but geneticaly he wasn't french and he damn sure wasn't king of France.

Also before we get slapped for bad mouthing the french he he:

They have a long history of failure. It's just funny how they only do good when their army is not made up of nor led by a Frenchman.
