So sad. This was big headlines in the Phila, PA area as Kennett Square is a rural suburb just outide the city. So many people sent flowers, cards, carrots and general well wishes for his recovery.

A horse put to sleep thousands mourn. On a side note 5,000 cows were slaughtered today, would you like fries with that? :D :P

Don't be so sure to assume what people care or don't care about. Barbaro wasn't "just a horse" but a undefeated Kentucky Derby Champion looked at as the possible first Triple Crown winner in 30 years.
Barbaro's story is about winning, courage and not giving up. It was very inspirational for a lot of people.

I hope you never own a pet.

Yes it is. It is about value of life. People care about a horse because it can run fast and is a stunning example of muscle and power, yet a cow is ugly and slow so lets eat it.

i do have a pet i have a cat. so i think imma beat the shit out of it with a leather strap so it can run fast and win me all kinds of money and ill love it more. them people bought that horse for one purpose it it serverd its purpose.to win them all kinds of money they will never spend.
