Out of respect for the French. All us Americans need to remember that if the French would have not Aided us in the revolutionary war then we could have very well lost that war. Their country went through hell when they were aiding us then. I myself find that clip to be rather humorous, but I leave it at that and do not insult the French. This isn't directed at any single person here in the slightest. Just a description of where the humor stops for me.

As for the retrieting comments if you just had your AT rocket fire and land 2 feet infront of you would be scared shitless as well. A good point brought up by pkrack as well France did aid the americans in the revolution. All the anti french slander I put up with from americans is pure BS considering.

The video shows they're at least smart...when that thing kicks out like that and doesn't work as expected, using the Rabbit defense (RUN AWAY!!!) is the smartest move. One of those ATGMs may have several kilograms of explosives, not to mention the propellant in the rocket motor. If the motor ignites suddenly, you're talking potentially severe burns with a resulting explosion if that thing goes tumbling around after ignition.
You've seen the T-shirts - "I am a bomb technician, if you see me running, try to keep up" In that situation, even the most grizzled US EOD technician would probably be leading the sprint away from the scene.
