Vid Card

What would you recommend for a decent card that won't break me? I was kind of leaning torward the 7600GT. I have to get a better power supply also. It's only 300Watts, any recommendations on that also?

Been using these:

EVGA 256-P2-N624-AR GeForce 7900GS 256MB GDDR3 PCI Express x16 KO

Antec True Power Trio TP3-550 ATX12V 550W Power Supply with Three 12V Rails

for a few months. I've been happy.

Of course, the first question should be, what is your budget? And what is your existing system like? Do you have a PCIe x16 slot(s)?

Yeah, I have pci E. Thats my problem mostly. My old card in an agp, and theres no slot for it in this new board. Problem is vista won't run my older games, because of a Punkbuster issue that has yet to be solved by them. So in turn I have to update my power supply to get a better card. I was just going to switch harddrive from my old pc, but the old HD is IDE and not SATA. I just bought an HP a17010n. So I don't even know what will fit or not power supply wise. Between the PC and monitor I have $850.00 so far in it. I still have to buy ram. Right now the PS is an Bestec atx 300.
