If you are rich then the law is your bitch. You can do what you like and normal rules just don't apply.

Oh well pray for the revolution I guess :sniper:

Yeah, I thought it was ridiculous, too. Good f'in grief. I've spent more time than that in one shot at the hospital, for cryin' out loud (which made me think, at times, that I would rather be in jail). Not to mention she was in a special 12-cell unit, segregated from the general inmate population...AND...she didn't have a cellmate.

They say she was released due to "a mysterious and unspecified medical condition." Pfffffft. Whatever. How incredibly lame.

In my opinion, she has at least one medical condition - a histrionic personality disorder...but that's no reason to be let out of jail. I can't wait to hear what this mysterious and medical condition really is.

the medical condition was "too much $$$$ to spare"

In the US money equals freedom.
There is no justice, there is no fair and judicial process.
Show the coin, and you're shown the door.

Anyone remember that fire in the Rhode Island club fire that turned into a death trap for 100 or so patrons? The greedy, scofflaw owners got a slap on the wrist as the tortured family members, with nothing but charred remains of their children stood on in horror as the judge read his verdict.

Family member after family member, in their closing statementsexpressed their dumbfounded disbelief. They said they could never trust the judicial system, they could never trust a judge, they could never believe in "the law", they would for-ever look at the American flag as a mocking slap in their faces. The judge cut their closing statements short, claiming they had no right to turn this into a side show. Who the fuck was he kidding?

Thanks, America...

Update!

HA HA!

Paris ordered back to court Friday morning. It seems the judge who originally sentenced her is just a bit pissed off at the Sheriff's Department for letting her out a little early!

http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20070608/ap_en_ce/paris_hilton

The Sheriff was quoted as saying, "It isn't wise to keep a person in jail with her problem over an extended period of time and let the problem get worse," he told the Los Angeles Times on Thursday, declining to specify Hilton's condition.

Ok, now I'm very curious what this apparent condition is (that REQUIRES being at home). Come on - there's Doctors and Nurses in the jail system, for Christ's sake.

Oh, and I love the part about the city attorney who filed a petition questioning whether the Sheriff should be held in contempt of court for releasing Hilton. Do it Judge, do it!!!!!

An adequate sentencing would be: media are henceforth prohibited from ever mentioning her again, or any event associated with her.

"My message to those who don't like celebrities is that punishing celebrities more than the average American is not justice," Baca said.

Fuck that. Anyone else caught drink driving and breaking their driving ban would get a shit load more than 45 days in the first place and for damn sure wouldn't be allowed out after 3. Whatever happened to the same sentence for the same crime?
