Might be a little difficult to get the perps out of the back if you have to make any arrests.

Without caring what people are gonna say. What kind of car is that. I can't tell from the pic. My guess would be a Vet.

There are a variety of high-performance vehicles used here in Michigan. Most are seized from drug-raids, etc. Some are actually used for patrol on the freeway, while most others are used for the D.A.R.E anti-drug program.

The Michigan State Police have a long-standing history of being the testers of new police package vehicles from the auto manufacturers (Ford, Chevy, etc.) Most recently the MSP have started using the Dodge Charger (yeah, it's got a hemi).

I found the photo at Boston.com, and they went out of there way to say that tax payers spent $0.00 on the "project". They claimed the work was performed by vocational student on a volunteer basis.

I say bullshit. Was the paint just lying around? And I suppose the spare parts were all just for free? Even if all the Statie decals were lying around, someone somewhere had to pay for it.

Got to love government spin. Give the truth to the US government, and they'll warp, twist and mold it into their own brand of "truth"...hoping the naive public will buy into it.

There's a small town south of Boston that uses the Charger for their cruisers. Frankly, I think the cars are stupid looking, but maybe ugly is cool now-a-days.

Why is this hard to believe? Materials and labor may have been donated towards the project. Especially if this is used for a D.A.R.E. project or some other type of community service. It's not an uncommon sight.
