Building Blueprints

Sat Jan 19, 2008 10:07 am

Hey everyone,

I need some help finding a set of blueprints for a class project. I've been searching on the internet, but haven't really found anything helpful. So I was hoping you guys might have some more ideas, or maybe other place that I could go to get them as well.

What I need

A blueprint/floor plan of a building so I can do an HVAC analysis on it

Requirements of it

Preferably in AutoCAD or at least with dimensions
Symmetric in at least 1 direction
Should be the size of an apartment or a large commercial building (6 floors)

I really only need 1 floor plan, and then I can repeat the same design for each level, and only change certain calculations.

Thanks for the help!

When do you need it by? I can get you the blueprints for a residential house. They might be a little muddy and ripped. :D I could snail mail them to ya.

Need them probably by this wednesday, when we get together as a group ad decided on a plan.

Thanks for the Offer :D Though we need more of an apartment type plan.

How about this? It's the dorm that I lived in a year ago. It's not CAD, and doesn't have dimensions. BUT...I can get the dimensions for one room and you can scale the rest of the measurements from that. Is it a start?

Here is another dorm, and the website says the avg. room size is 12' x 14'.

Thanks Porche, that one looks good for what we might need. We've only managed to come up with a handful of drawing. Don't know exactly what we might need, we we're just told a floor plan and we're assuming we need measurements for our calculations.

I thought that a company, or our City Hall here, would at least have a few blueprints or something, but its hard to get something within a few weeks.
