Based on what is currently understood about the nature of time... even if he was from a timeline that was in the future, it doesn't necessarily mean that events in this timeline will follow those in his...

Time is a very interesting subject. The theory of the multiverse is the one I'm referring to. It is the only theory regarding the nature of time and time travel that I have seen that cannot be disproven... and many have tried.

Basically it says that this time (or dimension) exists simultaneously with an infinite amount of other dimensions. In some of these other dimensions, different things happened at different points in time... creating a new dimension... in other words, at each junction in this time, someone in another dimension took a different path; made a different decision, creating a new timeline... trying to comprehend the implications of this is a bit mind boggling... and I probably haven't explained it very well...

Read the book, "Timeline" by Michael Crichton... (also a movie coming out soon...) it illuminates the subject pretty well, and I've seen some things on discovery channel about it as well...

I have always been facinated by the possibility of time travel, although I don't believe this guy, I do find this to be interesting reading..

Mon Sep 08, 2003 7:22 pm

Actually, I read some more of that site, and he goes on to say that what he says will have no effect on this "worldline", because he comes from a different one... and going back on the same "worldline" is impossible...

This jibes with what I have read about the theories regarding time travel...

He dishes out some good advice... learn about guns and gun care, don't depend on welfare, gather some close friends, learn about water distillation... all of these things are good advice... don't know about moving out to the middle of nowhere though...

Actually, with some of the crazy stuff that has happened in the last 2 years, talking about this sort of thing can be a little unnerving...

Imagine going back to even 1995 and telling someone that in 6 years, 2 airliners were going to take out the WTC... you'd be locked up in the booby hatch...

Einstein also postulates on time travel and multi universes. You all should read some of his work if you want a reliable and knowledgable source. :)
