I made this pic in photoshop from scratch Yep.. just a white background. Didn't paste anything into it either.. hehe just used my imagination!

Hey that picture of Europe looks kind of real, but I don't think the ocean looks very real.

Tour Of Duty - the pic (if it is real) was probably taken under the clouds, or under a cloudless sky.


NICE photoshop there. I love the creature, and the grass is awesome.

That is way, way, way too high to be under the clouds...

...most definitely a satellite photo, if it is a photo.

This photo in question is edited by taking shots from different days, and compiling them into a montage that shows cloudless earth. More photos and cool stuff can be found here http://antwrp.gsfc.nasa.gov/apod/archivepix.html. And here is an actual picture of the earth from outerspace showing coulds.

That is the single, largest picture I have ever seen on the internet. I hope you feel proud because that is not an easy accomplishment.

The earth pic was achieved through overlapping photos from The Blue Marble project. Although the effect itself is fake, the two photos used, earth at night and day, are both real.

NASA managed to get the photos without clouds by using a combination of photo-splicing and IR photography.
