Off topic, but don't go too far overboard - after all, we are watching...heh.

people wearing this futuristic clothing will 'seem to disappear'
It's just a new invention, and will be worked on, but can you imagine the final product in 2008, when the article above says it will be available?
Here are two videos of the clothing being worn. It's fascinating!

this will undoubtedly make it's way to the military. Invisible soldiers

Yeah, it's about as complicated as video taping what's behind you and projecting it onto yourself. Not a very intuitive principle.

This explains how it's done. As soon as they shrink this down into a self-contained unit, I'll be impressed.

in 5 years, I think you will be impressed. with the right development and lots of funding, imagine what these things are going to be looking like.

The little problem is the projector thing...

But hey, look at this:
Using it for what?
For example, if this technique is used in
cockpit for making the floor transparent at landing, the pilot can land safely with seeing runway. Also, use for other vehicles like car. If you can see through the back of car, you will put the car into the garage successfully.
Good news! I can see the headlines in 2008: WOMEN CAN PARK!

You suspect correctly. I recall seeing a program about just this topic on the History Channel (perhaps Discovery) a couple years ago. Thousands of tiny cameras/video screens attached to a uniform. Cool stuff.

Anyone else think that those pictures are really hokey and have a high potential for fabrication? Expecially the bone one. You can't convince me that that's actually his skeleton behind that sheet. If he's holding up a sheet of that stuff, and he's behind it, then shouldn't it be showing him, not his bones? Maybe I'm missing something, but it doesn't seem entirely right.

Yeah, I guess I see what you're saying. I'd have to see more videos of it before I'm totally sold, though.
