Comp questions

1. My keyboard is an old clicky IBM model that is ps/2. I use it because they rule and because you could beat Saddam with it and the keyboard would win.Not to mention no winkeys :D

However I have an issue where the numlock will go out which is very annoying. For instance, when the screensaver enables and locks the workstation I will come back and type my password in only to find the numlock went out again. I know your saying that's kinda of annoying havoc, just like hellacious on the hill when playing kharkov. True.. true

Well I have numlock set to yes in my bios. This happens with my old model IBM and a brand new out of box. I have an MX700 usb mouse. I've heard rumors that winXP likes to have both the keyboard and the mouse USB. Could the ps/2 keyboard be the problem? Ever heard of anything like this?

B/S on the keyboard and mouse needing to both be USB. XP is fine with usb or ps/2 or a mix for the keyboard & mouse..... Your problem sounds like a driver/software issue in windows, or a hardware issue with the keyboard/mobo... Buy a new keyboard and find out... (might I recommend the matching Logitech Elite keyboard? I own it, and it friggin rules)
