Political discussion threads...

Tue Mar 16, 2004 9:56 pm

I realize people have been givin' me a lot of flak for starting these "controversial" political discussion threads which usually turn into flame fests because people cannot control their emotions...

So here is my poll...

Tue Mar 16, 2004 9:58 pm

Well if people can hold back on the flaming and carry out civil debates, I say let's keep having them. But not likely..

Actually I like them.It clearly identifies the people I can
write off.

Keep up the good work Jeffro I like to know what everyone else thinks about stuff.

Wed Mar 17, 2004 6:25 am

I don't have a problem with them either. People have different views, and its nice to see those different views come out of people.

However, seems it turns into a giant flame fest after a few pages. This needs to stop.

Again, I posted in the other thread, and i'll post here. If you don't like whats in the thread, don't read it.

Yeah, I think that Jeffro is on some sort of debate team... a mass debate team, perhaps.

I voted to stop the political/religious discussions. It only irritates people. Everyone has their opinion and I don't think anyone is changing the other persons opinion/perceptions.

I don't mind a health debate... but all too frequently tempers start flaring and then the flaming begins....

I don't discuss politics or religion with my friends. It only leads to hostility. I prefer to concentrate on our compatabilities and similiar interests, rather than our differences.

I enjoy reading them, but usually do not take part in discussion because it can become quite hostile.

^Not meant to be a bash on Bush, I just thought it was funny, and relates to your post... The Daily Show is great.
