Thanks for that post, pretty good story, im surprised the History Channel doesn't have stories of individual soldiers in WW2, they have everything else. Must of been Buli who injured him in that tank.

Check out Europa Europa, a pretty good movie about a jewish kid in WWII who winds up in the German army, then the Russian Army, and back the German Army for a while, all the time hiding the fact that he's jewish (pretty tough to do in those days due to the rarity of non-jewish circumcisions).
True story as well.

The German fil Stalingrad is also very good, if you can find a version that hasn't been dubbed into English. I hate that, on the dvd at least you should offer subtitles but the one I bought has none and dubbing licks balls.
