I dunno, the idea of having to go through so many registry entries to get a few seconds of boot time off, or faster performance at the risk of having everything go FUBAR on you doesn't appeal to me.
I mean, my system is pretty fast as it is, I'm quite happy with it. No rush to go anywhere with a 2.66 @ 3ghz CPU.. =)

it's like car geeks, they want to replace air filters etc for that slight speed gain. same thing basically, just for PC geeks

Those bios tips are worth the price of admission though! I hate not knowing anything about the settings for memory and such. It seems bios settings have become more complicated over the years, while less and less is known about them.

But that slight increase could be the difference between winning and pretending you didn't lose.

does anyone know really know, from experience if this stuff is legit? I'd like to try it but before i do, i'd really like to know if something on here ends up marking me for death by the gov't... or just f's up my comp. Backing it up, schmaking it up i still have reservations.
