I understand that during Spirits attempt to manipulate some dust around Addirondack that scientists discovered the Martian dust doesn't 'puff up' like it would on earth. If you disturb fine particles here you get an easily observable 'cloud' of dust move up.... not so on our Red neighbour. Which seems even stranger given its less gravity.
As for the Spirits problems.... what a phenomenal display of expertise to get the thing there in the first place. Cudo's to Nasa and America for all the effort. And cudo's to Nasa for putting up such a good web-site including its free live tv stream. Very cool.
